The scene where Raymond was brushing his teeth reminds me of how children are good-natured and willing to accept "funny" things that adults find disgusting.
Little Charlie was open-minded and light-hearted and accepting; Older Charlie was cold and judgmental. I liked seeing the change come over Charlie when he realized that his strange, autistic brother Raymond was actually the Rain Man who comforted him when he was a scared little boy.
